To celebrate the re-edition of Cronin's short stories that inspired the television series shown in the 1960s, David Rintoul read passages from the book and spoke about one of his best loved roles in his distinguished acting career. Author Alan Davies who has written a moving biography of A J Cronin joined David Rintoul and the event was chaired by Alistair Moffat.
